Who We Are
Ronald McDonald House Manitoba is a home away from home for out-of-town families whose children are undergoing treatment for cancer or other life-threatening illnesses at the Children’s Hospital in Winnipeg. The House is a warm, welcoming home away from home where parents can relax, prepare a hot meal and share their concerns with other parents in similar situations. Recovering children and their parents are never far away from each other and this brings comfort to everyone.
McDonald’s® Restaurants of Canada, their suppliers, and Ronald McDonald House Charities do provide some financial support to help sustain Ronald McDonald House Winnipeg’s operations. However, the House must still rely on the generosity of Manitobans for donations of money, services and gifts-in-kind. Ronald McDonald House Winnipeg is not supported by any government or United Way funding. The House is primarily run by volunteers and supported by charitable donations from caring people like you.
